Why do I even have a livejournal?
Nobody reads this crap anyways.
Nobody gives a crap about me that's on my friends list
so why do I have it?
It's the biggest waste of time of my life, yet somehow I've kept it for like years.
So goodbye livejournal. Peace out.

January 2, 2009
Happy thing of today: Jeremy's remote control flying helicopter. And, of course, seeing everyone again.
January 3, 2009
Anderson's birthday!!! Wahooo
And with my new iHome that I got for Christmas, I wake up to shuffle on my iPod every morning. This morning, I woke up to Learning to Breathe by Switchfoot off of the Walk to Remember soundtrack. Mind you, I listened to it three times...it was super relaxing laying in bed and it's a really great song. I can't figure out how to put mp3s on the actual entry, but I suggest you all download it or listen to it, even if you already know the song. But actually LISTEN to it...take a minute out of your day to close your eyes and listen to the words and the chords and everything.
Switchfoot - Learning to Breathe
Song of Jan. 3rd

So lately I've been very stressed and easily rattled and easily upset. And a lot of people have been really stressed and upset and talking crap and I just idk.
Soooo
Every day
I'm posting something happy!!
Or I'm going to try at least.
January 1st, 2009
Happy New Year! The happy thing for today is that today is mine and Dan's one year anniversary!! :)
I really am amazed with myself and with Dan...for sticking w/ each other for a whole year. Even with my ex-boyfriend who I dated like 3 different times over the course of 3-4 years, we never stuck together for more than 4 or 5 months. This really makes me optimistic about the future, because although I do know that things change, I can see us sticking together for a long time. And I'm really fine with that.
Hope everybody had a good night last night...and has a great day today :)

Melissa's doing, not mine.
Step 1: Put your iTunes or equivalent on random. Step 2: Post the first line from the first 25 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing. Step 3: Have your friends guess the name of each song.
1. New shades on, the cops are moving fast, roll down the main of the passers by
2. Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
3. If I could, you know I would, if I'd be true
4. Take one fresh and tender kiss, add one stolen night of bliss, one girl, one boy, some grief, some joy, memories are made of these
(like 4 classical songs came up at once here...weird)
5. Silver light now is my weapon
6. PENNSYLVANIA 6-5000!!!
7. Here come ole' flat top; he come groovin up slowly; he got juju eyeballs (?); he want holy roller
8. I'm the son of rage and love, the jesus of suburbia
9. I need your arms around me I need to feel your touch
10. Oh chocolate girl, you look like something I want, oh your asian friend, she can come if she wants
11. well it started out down a dirty road; started out all alone
12. (does screaming in a guitar riff count?) this shining city built to grow, a far cry from innocence
13. there used to be a gray and time all alone on the sea; you became the light from the dark side of me
14. can't you see he's the man? let me hear you applaud. he is more than a man, he's a shining golden god.
15. it sucks, it's not the way; so many pretty girls, and yet I call your name
16. all around me are familiar faces...worn out places...worn out faces
17. we don't need no education
18. step 1: you say we need to talk; he walks; you say sit down it's just a talk
19. hey...break your bones...mister jones
20. my sister and I had an act that couldn't flop; my sister and I were headed for the top!

Storytime children:
So I was going to my 8am class and I get on the bus to go to the bus station and I'm walking down the aisleway and the driver took off like speed racer before I could get to a seat and I slipped on some water in the aisle, fell backwards, and hit my head on the aisle.
Now, your first reaction is to be like !!! oh no. Stop yourself. Because it's effing hilarious. Just picture the mental image of my 8am groggy self falling on my ass in the middle of a packed bus. Ohhh yeah. Gravity 1, Katie 0.
The last few posts have been geared toward the negative end of the love spectrum, so there's something that should trigger a few laughs :P
Enjoy :D

You guys should write a message for my mom's birthday and send it to me...I'm going home on Friday so if you could mail it by like Monday or Tuesday it'd be really cool. Pleeeease do this for me...I've only gotten one so far and it'd look really pathetic with only one Happy Birthday message on there. And Megan totally one-upped you all 'cause she actually did it :)
TY!

So I was in my ISS class today and we were talking about discriminations made against people applying for jobs and which were againt the law and which weren't, and I found out that discriminating against someone because of their sexual orientation isn't against the law. That really kind of bugged me. I mean, I've always been kind of neutral about the gay/straight thing, I have a lot of gay friends and I think them no different than anyone else, but I've never been like an activist with a picket sign and a rainbow sticker. But that really bugged me. Why is that the only exception? Does what kind of people that people prefer really make a difference in the job world?
Idk. Random rant. This society is really pissing me off.

So my swing dancing started today. The moves are so spiffy, but idk. My complaints:
1. There are zero good looking guys. And they're not even moderately good looking. They're all CREEPY. Or taken. Or gay. I can't win. I ended up dancing with some guy from Germany who was shorter than I am and trying to change all this stuff 'cause he learned it differently from where he came from or something like that.
2. We didn't dance to music at all. The whole hour and a half was listening to the guy go 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. But I know that's gonna change when we get longer into the season. So that's just a temporary complaint.
3. I can't really practice because I need someone who knows what they're doing. And I didn't really talk enough to anyone in there to see what's up.
But don't worry. I will eventually be the swing dancing master :D
The rest of MSU is cool too. Give me your address if you want letters.

So college = <3. My roommate is sweet, and I like the building. I haven't done much yet, but I plan on exploring lots this weekend. Nothing really interesting has happened...so here are more questions given by Jerome. If you didn't get some from me yet, comment and you shall receive ;)
1. If you had to choose your death, how would you want to die? Totally Bermuda Triangle. If not that, a car accident or flash flood or something like that. I'd much rather have a natural cause death then someone intentionally wanting to hurt me.
2. Would you want to know the date of your death, why or why not? I would probably sit and debate this question endlessly if it were actually available, but seeing it's not, I probably would. It would be really helpful to know that I wouldn't die doing anything previous to that date, and if it was really soon then I would be able to say my goodbyes. Plus, I'm really good with coping with stuff.
3. What would be your last meal if you could choose? Almond chicken with chicken fried rice, crab rangoons, and egg drop soup. With Strawberry Lime Jones.
4. What are you most excitied for this year and why? I was excited for college, but now that I'm here it's kind of monotone. I think once I get in the step of things and start talking to more people it'll be good.
5. If someone gave you a million dollars to cut off one of your limbs would you? I might give up my left leg. It's pretty bad as it is...and a million dollars would pay for a really spiffy wheelchair :)
