Ahh this dial-up is killing me.

Hokay

January 2, 2009

Happy thing of today: Jeremy's remote control flying helicopter. And, of course, seeing everyone again.

January 3, 2009

Anderson's birthday!!! Wahooo

And with my new iHome that I got for Christmas, I wake up to shuffle on my iPod every morning. This morning, I woke up to Learning to Breathe by Switchfoot off of the Walk to Remember soundtrack. Mind you, I listened to it three times...it was super relaxing laying in bed and it's a really great song. I can't figure out how to put mp3s on the actual entry, but I suggest you all download it or listen to it, even if you already know the song. But actually LISTEN to it...take a minute out of your day to close your eyes and listen to the words and the chords and everything.

Switchfoot - Learning to Breathe

Song of Jan. 3rd

So lately I've been very stressed and easily rattled and easily upset. And a lot of people have been really stressed and upset and talking crap and I just idk.

Soooo

Every day

I'm posting something happy!!

Or I'm going to try at least.

January 1st, 2009

Happy New Year! The happy thing for today is that today is mine and Dan's one year anniversary!! :)

I really am amazed with myself and with Dan...for sticking w/ each other for a whole year. Even with my ex-boyfriend who I dated like 3 different times over the course of 3-4 years, we never stuck together for more than 4 or 5 months. This really makes me optimistic about the future, because although I do know that things change, I can see us sticking together for a long time. And I'm really fine with that.

Hope everybody had a good night last night...and has a great day today :)

So I was in my ISS class today and we were talking about discriminations made against people applying for jobs and which were againt the law and which weren't, and I found out that discriminating against someone because of their sexual orientation isn't against the law. That really kind of bugged me. I mean, I've always been kind of neutral about the gay/straight thing, I have a lot of gay friends and I think them no different than anyone else, but I've never been like an activist with a picket sign and a rainbow sticker. But that really bugged me. Why is that the only exception? Does what kind of people that people prefer really make a difference in the job world?

Idk. Random rant. This society is really pissing me off.

So my swing dancing started today. The moves are so spiffy, but idk. My complaints:

1. There are zero good looking guys. And they're not even moderately good looking. They're all CREEPY. Or taken. Or gay. I can't win. I ended up dancing with some guy from Germany who was shorter than I am and trying to change all this stuff 'cause he learned it differently from where he came from or something like that.

2. We didn't dance to music at all. The whole hour and a half was listening to the guy go 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. But I know that's gonna change when we get longer into the season. So that's just a temporary complaint.

3. I can't really practice because I need someone who knows what they're doing. And I didn't really talk enough to anyone in there to see what's up.

But don't worry. I will eventually be the swing dancing master :D

The rest of MSU is cool too. Give me your address if you want letters.

So college = <3. My roommate is sweet, and I like the building. I haven't done much yet, but I plan on exploring lots this weekend. Nothing really interesting has happened...so here are more questions given by Jerome. If you didn't get some from me yet, comment and you shall receive ;)

1. If you had to choose your death, how would you want to die?
Totally Bermuda Triangle. If not that, a car accident or flash flood or something like that. I'd much rather have a natural cause death then someone intentionally wanting to hurt me.

2. Would you want to know the date of your death, why or why not?
I would probably sit and debate this question endlessly if it were actually available, but seeing it's not, I probably would. It would be really helpful to know that I wouldn't die doing anything previous to that date, and if it was really soon then I would be able to say my goodbyes. Plus, I'm really good with coping with stuff.

3. What would be your last meal if you could choose?
Almond chicken with chicken fried rice, crab rangoons, and egg drop soup. With Strawberry Lime Jones.

4. What are you most excitied for this year and why?
I was excited for college, but now that I'm here it's kind of monotone. I think once I get in the step of things and start talking to more people it'll be good.

5. If someone gave you a million dollars to cut off one of your limbs would you?
I might give up my left leg. It's pretty bad as it is...and a million dollars would pay for a really spiffy wheelchair :)

So I'm totally swamped with doing stuff for my party on Saturday...

Anyone not doing anything tomorrow (Wednesday), help would be greatly appreciated. We can have a sort-through-Katie's-baby-pictures-party, lol. We can throw movie night in too, except I have driving from 6-8. But seriously. Anyone who's bored tomorrow should come over and help me :)

(call first)
